About me
Audrey Nakagawa, originally from Winchester, Virginia, is a proud graduate of James Madison University. Audrey holds a Bachelors degree in Media, Art, and Design with a specialization in journalism. Her undergraduate experience and journalistic endeavors steered her to a career path in not-for-profit marketing and communications.
Notably, Audrey served as the primary communications and marketing lead for the Personal Care Product Council Foundation's “Look Good Feel Better” program, overseeing diverse marketing strategies, managing the organization’s website, and creating engaging content for social media and email campaigns.
Currently, Audrey is employed as the Marketing Specialist for the Prince George’s County Memorial Library System in Maryland, leading the system's multifaceted marketing initiatives. She manages everything from social media and email campaigns to in-branch promotion, with a focus on amplifying the Library’s mission through compelling promotional copy, innovative social media strategies and attention to customers' experiences with the Library.
Deeply passionate about the role of libraries in fostering community connections, she believes in creating uninhibited access to information and resources that help empower and uplift individuals and communities. She recently completed a Master of Science in Library and Information Science (MSLIS) at The Catholic University of America.
In her free time, Audrey enjoys long walks, listening to music, spending time with friends, reading, and drinking copious amounts of caffeine.
