Over the last few years, state and local governments around the country have sought to narrow the range of ideas available for exploration in these vital democratic spaces. But those on the side of freedom are fighting back — in both the court of law and the court of public opinion. This session will explore the First Amendment's protection of access to information in public libraries and survey recent censorship trends and legal developments.
