About me
Teresa Miller (she/her) is a librarian at the Spauldings Branch Library of the Prince George's County Memorial Library System (PGCMLS). She received the MLA Emerging Leader Award in 2021 for founding PGCMLS's LGBTQ+ work team. This team has developed library services and staff training focused on the LGBTQ+ community since November 2019. Teresa also coordinates PGCMLS's annual Rainbow Festival.
Teresa earned her MLIS from the University of Maryland College Park in 2019, but her first experience working at a library was as a summer volunteer when she was ten years old. While earning her bachelor's degree, she worked as a circulation aide in Alaska's largest library, where she also studied book binding and repair. In her free time, she enjoys a variety of crafts. She loves to incorporate those crafts into her library programs, such as her weekly Needlework Social program where she teaches crochet.
